The ACCI Leadership Forum, presented by Community Bank Albany will take place on Wednesday 21 August.
The Forum is set to unite business and community leaders from Albany and the Great Southern for an engaging full-day conference, spotlighting current leadership trends.
This event stands as a beacon for leaders across diverse industries and backgrounds, offering a unique forum to exchange ideas, share insights, and broaden perspectives on leadership. This year’s themes are AI, Culture, the state of the Economy, and ESG.

Minister David Michael is the state minister for Mines and Petroleum; Ports; Road Safety; and the Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport. Elected to the seat of Balcatta in 2017, David was promptly promoted to Government Whip; a role he held for the entirety of his first 4 years in Parliament.

Murray Thornhill is Managing Director of HHG Legal Group and a Notary Public and leads and coordinates both the litigation team and the commercial and property team at HHG. He is experienced and skilled in commercial dispute resolution, litigation and commercial law, with a particular focus on construction, insolvency, property, employment and securities matters. He has also extensive Local Government expertise and experience and has represented clients in the State Administrative Tribunal in the Resources and Development Division.

Aaron Morey
Chamber of Commerce & Industry WA (CCIWA)
Aaron Morey is the Chief Economist and Executive Director of Membership, Campaigns and Strategy at CCIWA. Prior to joining CCIWA, Aaron was a political and economics adviser to the WA Treasurer, Ben Wyatt. In that role Aaron managed projects including the sale of state assets, the Bell Group negotiations, WA’s trade relationship with China, and the historic 2018 GST reforms. In his final year in the office Aaron assumed the role of Deputy Chief of Staff.
